Release Notes – Extension of Package Functionality in Quickr

With the latest software update from Quickr, we are introducing a significant extension to the Package Functionality, giving you more flexibility and clarity when configuring systems. This change simplifies and smartens the management of your inventory. Below are the changes:

🔄 What’s new?

All product types now linkable to multiple Packages

From this update, all types of products (such as solar panels, inverters, air conditioners, mounting materials, charging stations, etc.) can be linked to one or multiple Packages. Previously, this was only possible for specific product groups such as hybrid inverters or optimizers.

Practical benefit: You no longer need to duplicate solar panels in the inventory for every separate package. To make corrections easier, we’ve also streamlined the process for removing products from the inventory.

❌ Inverter relationships discontinued

The separate Inverter Relationships functionality (used to link inverters, optimizers, and hybrid inverters to solar panels or batteries) is no longer necessary. These relationships can now also be established through the new, expanded package structure.

Simpler system management with a single method of linking.

🧠 Automatic selection of the cheapest type for multiple variants

If a package contains multiple variants of a product type (e.g., three different types of inverters), Quickr will automatically select the cheapest variant when configuring a system.

Of course, it remains possible to manually adjust this selection in the Design App after configuration.

⚡ No more automatic addition of product types

Products such as Electric Generation or other components that were previously automatically added to every system will now only be included if they are linked to a package.

This prevents unintended additions and ensures more control and clarity.

🧾 Services remain unchanged

The selection and operation of Services remain exactly as you are used to. This update only applies to material products within packages.

If desired, create a new Package on the Campaigns detail page
Link products via the detail page of a product in the Inventory to the package
During automatic design, Quickr uses the cheapest product per type in the package
Adjust to another product if needed in the Design App
