For our Dutch customers, it is now possible to have shadow losses automatically calculated by Quickr —either per roof surface (in the Scan App) or per panel (in the Design App). This feature saves our customers considerable time and money, as it eliminates, in many cases, the need to manually draw installation plans on buildings in 3D. Moreover, it is available to everyone free of charge !
For every individual building in the Netherlands (at least those registered in the BAG database as of 2021), the surrounding environment within a 200-meter radius is virtually constructed in 3D. Based on this, a shadow analysis is performed annually, calculated for every half square meter of the building and its surroundings.
As a result, you receive an automated insight into revenue losses caused by shadows on the panels. This enables you to perform precise calculations on metrics such as the ROI (Return on Investment). The increased level of accuracy can be directly passed on to your customers—all without requiring additional effort on your part. Convenient, isn’t it?

Should the situation around or on the building have changed—such as a tree being removed or a dormer being added—the Design App always allows you to manually adjust shadow loss per panel, tailoring calculations to your specific needs (see example image).
