Release Notes β Major Expansion of Home Battery and Self-Consumption Calculations
π Available from: 18-12-2025
The year is coming to an end, but we certainly haven’t been idle! In this release of Quickr, we’re bringing a series of smart improvements that make energy consumption advice, battery optimization, and solar system calculations even more accurate and practical.
π Smart consumption advice based on address
Quickr can now accurately calculate monthly electricity consumption based on address and household size. This not only provides more convenience and better advice, but also gives improved insight into winter consumption and summer feed-in at that specific address β data that’s automatically factored into the battery sizing recommendation.
π¨βπ©βπ§ New consumption profiles
We’ve added two new profiles for battery self-consumption calculations:
This makes the simulation of household self-consumption with a battery even more realistic. πNext to this it is now also possible to add a separate installation pricing scale for battery installations (based on the weight in kilograms of the battery).
βοΈ Performance ratios per year and month
Quickr now also shows solar system performance ratios per year and per month. This provides better insights and even allows for manual fine-tuning of yield forecasts β for example, in cases of curtailment or shading losses.
π Insights now also for existing solar systems
Does your customer already have solar panels? From now on, you can easily enter the actual output of an existing system. This makes it immediately visible how much extra savings a battery can generate by improving self-consumption. πβπ
πΈ Feed-in costs with battery
In addition to the standard feed-in cost assumptions applicable forΒ Dutch systems without a battery, you can now also define separate feed-in costs for setups with a battery. Perfect for a more financially accurate recommendation.
π New charts (also available as mergefields!)
We’ve added three new charts that show, at a glance:
All charts are also available as mergefields for your proposals and reports.
π€ AI object detection with buffer zone
When creating automatic layouts, you can now set a buffer zone. This allows Quickr to automatically consider the required distance to surrounding objects, such as insurer-prescribed boundaries. Smart!
π¨ Colorable panel groups
In the Design App, you can now assign colors to panel groups (also available as mergefields). This makes string layouts and group structures visually clear and instantly understandable.
π§ New mail server
As SendGrid is being phased out, Quickr is transitioning to a new, reliable mail server. All existing notifications and alerts will continue to work seamlessly. More information will follow soon for those affected.
βοΈ New product category: Optimized (hybrid) inverters
We’ve added a dedicated product category for Optimized (hybrid) inverters and optimizers, such as SolarEdge. These systems are now better integrated into Quickr’s calculations and recommendations.
π Now available via the API
All of the above features are, of course, fully available through the Quickr API β allowing integrations and external applications to take immediate advantage of the new functionality.
π§Ή Technical debt & bug fixes
Finally, we’ve made a series of improvements under the hood, including:
Quickr now runs smoother and faster than ever.
